Electrolysis cells

Skamol products are used as lining inside the pot cells and include products such as insulation bricks, fireclay bricks (barrier bricks) and Sical-78 silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide bricks. The application of our products in the pot cells is illustrated by the drawing below.

Our wide range of products has different properties enabling us to deliver exactly the solution requested by our customers. All Skamol products are produced and delivered according to customer specifications considering the particular pot cell design. The optimal solution is achieved by the involvement and support from our Technical Center.

In order to fulfil the requirements from our customers all products are delivered in the dimensions required having in mind that the requirements from our customers are within the dimensions and specifications technically possibly for us to produce.

As a special service we also, if requested by our customers, deliver the different products as pot sets making it easier for our customers to reline each pot. A pot is typically a number of different dimensions or products packed on a certain number of pallets holding the exact number of bricks necessary to reline one pot cell. This solution enables our customers to reduce the handling and time needed to reline each pot cell.
