To minimize energy consumption when producing glass or glass fibres, Skamol supplies highly insulating Moler bricks, calcium silicate boards and castables. The products are used as back-up insulation.
Glass tank and regenerators
The excellent thermal conductivity of the products is an important factor to conserve energy and to secure a good thermal efficiency in the furnaces.
The low weight and good strength of SKAMOL SUPER-1100 E are important properties for insulation of the crown.
