The excellent thermal conductivity of the products is an important factor to conserve energy and to secure a good thermal efficiency in the kilns. The products are normally used as back-up insulation.
To minimize energy consumption when producing ceramics or tiles, Skamol supplies highly insulating Moler bricks, calcium silicate boards and castables.
For insulation of Tunnel and Batch Kilns Skamol V-1100 (475) can be used as a hot-face lining.
Loose Vermiculite and/or Skamol SUPER-1100 E are suitable for insulation of kiln cars, as the low-weight material stores only a limited amount of energy.
