Moler insulating bricks

Skamol insulating bricks are based on the unique Moler (diatomaceous earth) as raw material. The range of bricks includes highly porous to dense insulating bricks. They are available in international standard sizes as well as customer specific shapes.

Insulating boards

The range of insulating boards is based on calcium silicate or vermiculite and are available in several standard sizes or pre-cut to specifications. In order to combine superior insulating properties with high temperature shock resistance, a combination of calcium silicate and vermiculite can be supplied either as standard boards or as customized solutions.

Customized shapes and panels

Customized shapes and panel designs include products made from vermiculite. The product composition and applied precision-moulding technique allow manufacture of special shapes with surface patterns,
various textures and three-dimensional effects to match specific customer designs.

Insulating mortar & castables

The range of dry-mix mortars is recommended for jointing of Skamol bricks and for fixing Skamol boards. The mixes are adjusted to each product in terms of joint strength and insulation value.

Insulating castables and aggregates

The product line of insulating castables and aggregates include products for casting and gunning. The products are based on fired Moler aggregates, refractory materials, or vermiculite. Moler aggregates are available in different grain sizes for loose-fill insulation.

Refractory products

The package of materials offered to the aluminium industry is completed with our range of Skamobar low-alumina fireclay bricks and SICAL silicon nitride-bonded SiC bricks.

Passive fire protection and mould prevention

Materials for lightweight fire doors, cladding of beams and columns, bulkheads and marine panels, as well as ventilation and cable ducts.
