- Piral will never be a cost leader in brick production and has not been contributing positively to Skamol's financial results.

We have already initiated a project to increase the output at our Danish Moler factory, which will enable us to fulfil the demand from our customers throughout the key industries we serve, states Jesper Kirkeby Hansen, CEO of Skamol.

The closure of the Piral plant will be effective as of May 2009.
