Designed for high temperature refractories

The refractory bricks in anode baking furnaces are prone to quick degradation due to the extreme surrounding environment. This often results in cracked oven walls, which leads to thermal loss and unstable thermal conditions, which in turn results in increased energy consumption.

Our back-up insulation systems for anode baking furnaces, SkamoAlu Poros, SkamoAlu Supra insulation bricks and our SkamoAlu BF-Block and SkamoAlu BB-Block or SkamoAlu S-1100E and SkamoAlu S-Isol calcium silicate insulation boards, are designed to reduce energy costs in production, as well as stabilizing thermal conditions inside furnaces. This ensures a better, more efficient anode baking process and reduced energy costs.

Our moler bricks are used in the floor and side walls of the furnace, granting multiple benefits:

  • Reduced energy costs and heat loss in the furnace
  • Multiple brick shapes for optimal fitting
  • Efficient and reliable oven functionality, thanks to insulation stability and proven performance over time

Built to last - eliminate the need for costly relinings

Our insulation bricks are designed specifically for the conditions inside the furnaces.

These are our insulation bricks for anode baking furnaces.

With excellent insulation properties combined with high hot crushing strength, low compression over time, and high resistance towards cryolite mixtures, the bricks have a life span exceeding 20 years.
