As a part of vision and our continued focus on protecting the planet by reducing energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases, we have added another Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This new EPD covers all our calcium silicate products.
After receiving an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in 2022, which covers all our vermiculite products, we can now add another EPD to our list. This new EPD covers all our calcium silicate products, and it gives both you and us a valuable insight in our calcium silicate production and creates an awareness of the environmental impact of our calcium silicate products.

EPDs document the life-cycle environmental impact of products within energy consumption, resource use and waste. EPDs are a uniform way of summarizing how products impact the environment, converted into CO₂ equivalents.
EPDs give a transparent insight in the manufacturing-related emissions. This helps raise awareness towards the green agenda, as we can compare the environmental impact of different products within European and International standards.
Skamol’s EPD follows the European and International standards (ISO 14025 and EN 15804).
