The expansion of our calcium silicate plant has now reached the point, where we can welcome our three new autoclaves.
Each autoclave is app. 40 metres long, which is longer than our previous ones and they are able to handle large quantities, which means that we will experience a bigger production capacity.
Autoclaves are a vital part of the production. They are basically long pipes that the boards are transported through before cutting the boards. Inside the autoclaves, the boards are submitted to high steam pressure and temperatures and the chemical reaction here provides the calcium silicate boards with their specific technical properties.
The next 4-5 days we will connect electricity, insulate the autoclaves and get the necessary approvals from external authorities.
The expansion is therefore going according to plan and we look forward to starting up our production fully again soon.
