Relocation and expansion in Roedding is progressing according to schedule
The decision to move the vermiculite production to bigger and more modern production facilities was initiated in 2008 and the build-up of the new factory is progressing according to plan.
"We expect to be fully operational at the new facility mid-year 2009. Our planning of the actual move has been organized so that our customers will not be affected. The new production site is a state of the art factory", says Jesper Kirkeby Hansen, CEO of Skamol, and continues: "In recent years we have experienced an increasing demand by our customers within the aluminium, domestic heating and steel industry and we are excited that we are now able to meet our customers' demand for vermiculite".
