The waste heat from Skamol A/S' plant in Branden at the Limfjord is now ready to deliver district heating to the residents on the Island Fur.
After some challenges in connection with the establishment of the piping under Fursund in a 1.6 km long pipe, the plant is now finally completed.
Hereby, the waste heat plant is connected directly to the heat supply and has already been put into use for heating of the homes on Fur. The plant is running, but it shall, of course, be optimised and finally run in for some time to come.
The energy project shows that a co-operation between industry and neighbours can result in green solutions to the benefit of environment, heat consumers and industry.
